Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Day/Night rotating, 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM or 7:00 PM-7:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients with diverse conditions including CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, and post-surgical recovery
Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms, collaborating with CCU staff
Administer medications, IV therapy, and titrate drips as needed (heparin, bumex)
Collaborate with CNAs and charge nurse to ensure safe patient ratios (max 1:4-5 days, 1:5 nights)
Provide care for general pediatric patients when necessary
Float as a helping hand to other departments when cross-trained

Qualifications

Active RN license (OR license or eligibility for 90-day emergency license)
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience
Experience with general medical-surgical and telemetry monitoring
Ability to work every other weekend and negotiate holidays

Knowledge & Skills

General medical-surgical nursing skills
Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
IV therapy and medication administration
Experience with titratable drips (heparin, bumex)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
