Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to NVICU patients, keeping safety and dignity front and center
• Perform and manage complex procedures such as intubation, central line and arterial line care, and EVD patient management
• Monitor hemodynamics and respond rapidly to clinical changes with evidence-based interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care
• Document accurate and timely clinical information using the unit EMR (Meditech)
• Educate patients and families about condition, care plans and post-discharge needs in a clear, caring way
• Maintain ACLS competency and follow ICU protocols to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) — active and in good standing (RN credential listed in job posting)
• ACLS certification (required)
• Minimum: 1 year ICU experience (explicitly listed)
• Demonstrated experience with critical care procedures: intubation, central line and A-line management, EVD patient care
• Comfort with Meditech EMR preferred
• Oncology and neuro experience are a plus and will make you a top candidate
• Willingness to work rotating nights and fulfill weekend coverage expectations

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing knowledge and hands-on ICU skills
• Proficiency in advanced airway management and ventilator care
• Central and arterial line placement/management expertise
• Experience caring for EVD patients and other specialized NVICU cases
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR workflows and documentation standards
• Ability to work in 2:1 patient ratio environments and manage high-acuity caseloads
