Registered Nurse - NICU
Location: San Luis Obispo, CA
Start Date: 06-01-2026
End Date: 08-31-2026
Shift Type: 12-hour day shifts, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, every other weekend, holidays rotate with perm staff
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert care to NICU patients 34 weeks and above including bubble CPAP, TPN, IV and oxygen therapy
- Independently manage feeders and growers with confidence in a close-knit 4-bed unit
- Attend every delivery and support the recovery process making a real difference from the start
- Collaborate with neonatal RT and on-call neonatologist for top-tier patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active RN license
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- At least 2 years of experience with NICU Level 2 or above
- Experience attending deliveries is a must
Education
- RN degree from accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- NICU nursing expertise
- Ability to handle patients independently
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR
- Comfort with Phillips monitoring tech
