Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Float between MedSurg Tele and PCU units across both campuses, providing compassionate care to a diverse patient population
Manage and titrate critical drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin with confidence and precision
Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to patient needs in a fast-paced float pool environment
Collaborate with dedicated charge nurses and nursing assistants to deliver safe, high-quality care
Support post-cardiac cath, CABG, and ortho patients through their recovery journeys
Adapt quickly to unit assignments communicated via text just two hours before each shift

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU experience
Comfortable managing multiple titratable drips and interpreting dysrhythmias
Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% or higher within two attempts before contract start

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and dysrhythmia management
Experience with CPAP, BiPAP, and heated high-flow oxygen therapy
Ability to float between MedSurg Tele and PCU settings with ease
Excellent communication and adaptability in a dynamic float pool
Comfort working with geriatric, post-MI, and post-procedural patients
