Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise all nursing functions each shift to ensure high-quality resident care
• Assess, evaluate, and document resident condition changes and communicate findings to physicians
• Oversee and update care plans and clinical documentation in MatrixCare EMR
• Provide leadership to nursing staff: orient new hires, supervise performance, and reallocate staff as needed
• Act as liaison between residents, families, and physicians — resolve concerns with empathy and clarity
• Implement emergency plans and coordinate response to incidents or disasters
• Prepare and deliver clear shift reports and handoffs to the relieving supervisor

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Pennsylvania
• Experience with MatrixCare EMR required
• 2–4 years supervisory experience in geriatric long term care preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to react quickly and decisively in emergencies and with unexpected resident behaviors
• Capability to stand and walk throughout the campus for the duration of your shift and assist with 30 lb resident transfers as needed
