Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer ionizing radiation therapy to patients in strict accordance with Radiation Oncologist prescriptions
• Collaborate closely with the physicist, dosimetrist, chief therapist and Radiation Oncologist during planning and simulation
• Perform simulations and support treatment planning to ensure precise delivery
• Ensure accurate patient positioning, immobilization and comfort for safe, reproducible treatments
• Verify and maintain detailed treatment records and documentation for each patient
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols, infection control policies, and institutional procedures
• Participate in competency assessments such as the Trinity Skills Checklist to maintain high-quality care

Qualifications

• ARRT certification (required)
• Current Maryland license to practice radiation therapy (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• NRP and TNCC certifications (listed as additional certifications)
• Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and license/certificate verification
• Successful completion of fit test, 10-panel drug screen, and required immunizations/vaccines
• Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary oncology teams

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiation Therapy delivery and safety best practices
• Simulation and treatment planning support
• Patient positioning and immobilization techniques
• Dosimetry basics and collaboration with medical physics
• Strong patient communication and documentation skills
• Familiarity with radiation oncology workflow and team-based care
