Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in the Emergency Department
• Perform rapid triage and prioritize care for acute and urgent presentations
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the ED team to develop and execute care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely, monitor patient responses, and document accurately
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up instructions
• Maintain a calm, efficient presence during high-acuity situations and contribute to a culture of safety

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (NH license or compact RN as applicable)
• Experience in Emergency Department/ER nursing preferred
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred or obtainable
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in fast-paced settings
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a patient-first attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/ASN or BSN). BSN preferred where available

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment for adult and pediatric patients
• Acute care nursing skills, including wound care, splinting, and basic procedures
• Medication administration and monitoring for adverse reactions
• Accurate clinical documentation and familiarity with electronic health records
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in rapidly changing situations
