Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to assigned patients
- Assess patient condition and monitor vital signs to inform care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Document patient care and clinical observations clearly in the medical record
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families about care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Previous clinical experience in a hospital or rehab/acute setting preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work the posted day shift hours and adapt to facility needs
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Completion of an accredited nursing program and active RN licensure required
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and monitoring
- Medication administration and documentation
- Wound care and basic clinical procedures
- Electronic medical record charting and accurate documentation
- Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
- Time management and prioritization in a busy clinical environment
