Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 05-31-2026

End Date: 08-30-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide hands-on physical therapy to 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Assess and treat patients recovering from TKA, THA, spinal surgery, CVA, and general medical conditions
Develop individualized rehabilitation plans that help patients regain strength and mobility
Collaborate with the rehab team to deliver exceptional care in acute inpatient settings
Document progress and adjust treatment strategies to maximize patient outcomes

Qualifications

Active California PT license required
BLS certification required
Acute Inpatient PT experience is essential
Comfortable working across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER settings

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient assessment and rehabilitation skills
Experience with general medical, deconditioned, and post-surgical orthopedic patients
Ability to adapt quickly across different hospital units
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
