Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform advanced high-complexity testing to deliver life-saving results with precision and speed
• Expertly handle microbiology, transfusion medicine, and molecular biology challenges that impact patient care
• Establish and maintain rigorous quality control programs ensuring every test meets top standards
• Train and mentor new team members while writing essential lab procedures
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues independently, safeguarding the accuracy of critical diagnostics
• Collaborate with medical staff to provide insightful lab interpretations and LIS support

Qualifications

• ASCP or AMT certification is a must - MLS or MLT welcome
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field
• At least 1 year of progressive clinical lab experience or hospital internship
• Flu vaccine required to join this vital team

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field (progressive experience may substitute year-for-year)

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep knowledge of CLIA high-complexity testing, LIS operations, and lab equipment
• Expertise in quality control, microbiology, transfusion medicine, and molecular biology
• Strong skills in oral and written communication plus building cooperative team relationships
• Proficiency with regulatory standards like CLIA, CAP, and Joint Commission
