Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care that promotes dignity and recovery
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to facility protocols
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
• Support patient and family education with clear, respectful communication
• Assist with procedures, admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed
• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license (appropriate to the role applied for); North Carolina license preferred
• Current BLS certification; additional certifications (ACLS, PALS) a plus depending on unit
• Clinical experience preferred; new graduates may be considered based on facility needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient-focused approach
• Ability to work 12-plus hour shifts and adapt to changing patient needs

Education

• Licensed Practical Nurse: Completion of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program and required state licensure
• Registered Nurse: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and required state licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and clinical observation skills
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
• Ability to triage, prioritize, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Comfortable working in fast-paced acute care environments
