Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight hours
• Perform thorough assessments, monitor patient status and report changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to implement individualized care plans
• Support patient and family education, offering clear guidance and reassurance
• Assist with admissions, discharges and safe transitions of care during night shift
• Respond to clinical emergencies calmly and follow established protocols

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse credential (LPN or RN)
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification, with advanced certifications preferred
• Eligible for or holding licensure to practice in New Mexico
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and independent decision-making at night
• Reliable clinical skills and a patient-first attitude

Education

• Completion of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and monitoring skills
• Medication administration and accurate clinical documentation
• Experience with electronic medical records and charting
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families and clinical teams
• Prior inpatient clinical experience and familiarity with overnight workflows
• Critical thinking and time management during busy night shifts
