Location: Bowie, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day shift, days to be scheduled/not specified)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate daily care to geriatric residents and promote dignity
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting
Support safe mobility and fall prevention efforts
Monitor residents and promptly report changes or concerns to nursing staff
Accurately document care provided and observations in resident records
Collaborate with the care team to create a positive, person-centered environment

Qualifications

Valid GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification
Comfortable and experienced in geriatric care and direct patient assistance
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work per diem/day shifts as scheduled by the facility

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
Geriatric care principles and respectful resident interactions
Basic observation and reporting of resident condition
Familiarity with care documentation and following care plans
Team collaboration in a long-term care or similar setting
