Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate Siemens CT systems to acquire high-quality diagnostic images for a busy outpatient and ED caseload
• Prepare and administer contrast media safely and according to protocols
• Start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture for contrast administration when needed
• Follow radiation safety and isolation precautions to protect patients and staff
• Use PACS and Siemens post-processing tools (3D rendering, MPR, ROI) to assist radiologists and optimize studies
• Chart accurately in EPIC and communicate findings and patient status to the interdisciplinary team
• Support a diverse patient population from neonates to geriatrics with professionalism and compassion
• Contribute to a collaborative environment and step into leadership or management tasks when needed

Qualifications

• ARRT CT certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of CT imaging experience
• Experience in Adult Acute Care, ICU, and Emergency Department settings (required)
• Hands-on experience with Siemens CT equipment (MUST HAVE Siemens)
• Familiarity with PACS and EPIC charting systems
• Demonstrated skills in contrast preparation/administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts and venipuncture
• Flu vaccine required per facility policy (medical/religious exemptions allowed); COVID-19 vaccine not required

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (standard for technologist roles)
• ARRT CT certification (required)
• BLS certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with Siemens Image Display and Post Processing tools
• Comfortable with 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) and region-of-interest (ROI) measurements
• Skilled in a wide range of CT studies: abdomen/pelvis, chest, head & neck, spine, MSK, vascular chest and advanced cardiac/CTA studies
• Experience performing special procedures: biopsies, aspirations, drainage, myelography, CT arthrography and brain perfusion
• Strong infection control and isolation precautions knowledge
• Ability to prioritize in a busy outpatient and emergency department environment
