Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients including assistance with activities of daily living
- Take and document vital signs accurately and communicate changes to the nursing team
- Assist with safe patient transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
- Maintain a clean and safe care environment following infection control practices
- Support the nursing team with timely and accurate documentation of patient care
- Build trusting relationships with patients and families through clear, respectful communication
Qualifications
- Current CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work a 12-hour day shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) for per-diem assignments
- Valid state-required immunizations and willingness to complete background checks
- Strong patient-focused attitude, reliable, and able to work independently when needed
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completed CNA training program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs (feeding, bathing, toileting, grooming)
- Proficient in taking and recording vital signs and reporting concerns
- Knowledge of standard infection control and patient safety practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a positive, professional demeanor
- Basic charting/documentation skills and attention to detail
