Location: Albuquerque, NM
Contract Type: Per-Diem

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to patients, assisting with daily living activities and dignity-preserving support
- Monitor patients’ condition and promptly report changes to the nursing team to ensure timely interventions
- Assist with transfers, ambulation, and safe mobility following care plans and safety protocols
- Support meal service, hygiene, and comfort measures with attention to individual needs
- Document care activities accurately and communicate effectively with nurses and interdisciplinary team members
- Help create a warm, respectful environment that promotes patient well-being and recovery
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
- Active or eligible to obtain CNA credentials in New Mexico
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Good communication skills and a team-player mindset
- Previous experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or acute care helpful but not mandatory
- Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA program and active certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of patient hygiene, ADLs (activities of daily living), and safe patient handling
- Comfortable with documenting care and following care plans
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient and family interactions
- Awareness of infection control practices and workplace safety
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
