Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents at Bear Canyon RHB Center
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Assess patient condition and communicate changes promptly to the care team
• Document resident care clearly and timely in the clinical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver individualized care plans
• Support residents and families with respectful, person-centered communication

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license (eligible to practice in New Mexico)
• Previous clinical experience in long-term care or rehab settings preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willing to obtain)
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to work 12+ hour day shifts and handle the physical demands of nursing

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program; high school diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of medication administration and nursing documentation
• Comfortable with rehab and long-term care clinical practices
• Skilled at assessment, care planning, and patient advocacy
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond calmly in fast-paced situations
• Familiarity with infection control and patient safety best practices
