Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients as a Certified Nursing Assistant
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting) with dignity and respect
• Monitor and accurately document vital signs, intake/output, and patient observations
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly to nursing staff and the care team
• Support rehabilitation and therapy efforts in the Uptown Hlth/Rhb area in collaboration with clinicians
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection prevention protocols
• Build trusting relationships with patients, families, and team members to enhance patient experience

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• Active/state-appropriate CNA registration or certification in New Mexico
• CPR/BLS certification (preferred or obtain upon hire per facility policy)
• Ability to safely perform patient transfers and use basic medical equipment
• Comfort working 12+ hour day shifts and standing for extended periods
• Pass a background check and drug screen as required by the facility
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Vital sign measurement and clinical observation skills
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Basic documentation and charting practices
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
