Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-focused bedside nursing care throughout the shift
• Perform thorough assessments and create clear, actionable nursing plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Document patient status and interventions clearly in the medical record
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate excellent patient care
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate when needed
• Educate patients and families to promote recovery and safe transitions
• Maintain infection control standards and a safe clinical environment

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS/PALS as applicable or preferred
• Previous clinical nursing experience preferred (acute care experience a plus)
• Ability to work a night schedule reliably and professionally
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass facility onboarding checks

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Clear, professional communication with patients and team members
• Comfortable using electronic health records and documenting care
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
• Ability to respond calmly during clinical emergencies
• Patient education and family-centered care approach
• Adherence to policies, protocols, and infection prevention practices
