Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in an assisted living/long-term care environment
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Assess resident condition and communicate changes to the care team promptly
- Collaborate with nursing staff, social services, and families to develop individualized care plans
- Support activities of daily living and promote independence and dignity
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control best practices
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact RN license as applicable
- Experience or comfort working in long-term care or assisted living settings preferred
- Ability to meet required health credentials: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, physical/health statement, COVID-19 vaccine, and seasonal influenza vaccine
- Successful completion of the facility's Trinity 10 Panel drug screen
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team-focused environment
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of long-term care nursing standards and resident-centered care
- Medication administration and documentation skills
- Familiarity with infection control and safe patient handling
- Good clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Comfortable using electronic health records and accurate charting
- Compassionate interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
