Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care to long-term care residents
- Perform focused assessments and contribute to individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments per facility policies and scope of practice
- Complete Trinity-specific competency testing and skills checklists to maintain standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate safe, effective care
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely charting to support continuity of care
- Follow infection control practices, including respirator protocols and fit testing requirements
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (license/certificate verification required)
- BLS certification required
- Experience or comfort working in Long Term Care settings (LTC)
- Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
- Required occupational health items: fit test, respirator evaluation, 10-panel drug screen
- Up-to-date immunizations or documentation: 2-step PPD or IGRA, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine, Influenza vaccine
- Physical/Health Statement as part of onboarding
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and resident observation skills suited to LTC
- Medication administration and documentation accuracy
- Infection prevention and proper PPE/respirator use
- Effective communication and teamwork with nursing and interdisciplinary staff
- Time management, prioritization, and adaptability in a fast-paced care environment
- Comfort with competency-based training and skills validation processes
