Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in a long-term care setting
- Assess resident health status, develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize resident outcomes
- Perform and document clinical competency testing and skills checklists as required
- Maintain accurate license and certification records and complete required screenings
- Support infection prevention practices and follow facility policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state licensure required) with license/certificate verification
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Experience in long-term care (LTC) preferred or equivalent clinical experience
- Ability to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Skills Checklist
- Must complete required personal health screenings: 2-step PPD or IGRA, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, physical/health statement, COVID-19 and influenza vaccination as required
- Successful completion of a Trinity 10 panel drug screen
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of long-term care nursing practices and resident-centered care
- Medication administration and accurate clinical documentation
- Skilled in patient assessment, care planning, and nursing interventions
- Familiarity with infection control, immunization requirements, and screening protocols
- Comfortable with competency testing and following facility-specific skill checklists
- Good communication, teamwork, and time management skills
