Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care to assisted living residents
- Administer medications and vaccinations per protocol and document accurately
- Perform thorough assessments, monitor vitals and communicate changes to the care team
- Support daily living needs and supervise CNAs to ensure dignity and comfort for residents
- Maintain detailed, timely clinical documentation in the resident record
- Ensure immunization compliance and verify required health screenings and drug testing
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Respond effectively to emergencies and escalate concerns to clinical leadership
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing (NC license required for practice in state)
- Or valid CNA certification for CNA roles; this posting supports RN and CNA staffing
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Up-to-date immunizations: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19 and Influenza as required
- Successful Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen and completed Physical/Health Statement
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- RNs: ADN or BSN (BSN preferred when available)
- CNAs: State-approved CNA certification
- Completion of facility-required health screenings and immunizations
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in medication administration and vaccine handling
- Proficient with resident assessment and care planning
- Knowledge of infection prevention and immunization compliance
- Excellent documentation and electronic charting abilities
- Ability to lead and mentor nursing assistants and collaborate with clinical teams
- Empathy and strong interpersonal skills for working with older adults
