Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents and patients during the night shift
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document in the medical record
• Perform focused assessments and report changes in condition to the care team
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians to deliver coordinated care
• Maintain clear, timely charting and ensure all shift handoffs are complete
• Uphold infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies at all times
• Support residents' comfort and dignity during overnight hours, including personal care and monitoring
• Participate in weekend coverage and any assigned unit responsibilities with professionalism

Qualifications

• Active LPN licensure (Licensed Practical Nurse) — required
• Availability to work nights and a required weekend commitment
• Must have reliable personal transportation (local assignment requirement)
• Willingness to work a 13-week local contract (starts 2026-02-02, ends 2026-04-27)
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Previous LPN experience in a long-term care or similar setting preferred

Education

• Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent and active LPN license

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid medication administration and documentation skills
• Skilled at patient/resident assessment and recognizing changes in condition
• Comfortable using electronic health records and completing accurate charting
• Knowledge of infection control, safety procedures, and basic nursing protocols
• Ability to prioritize tasks during busy night shifts and support handoffs
• Team player who communicates clearly with interdisciplinary staff
