Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist with electrophysiology procedures and monitoring, ensuring patient safety from check-in through recovery
• Prepare and maintain the EP lab environment, including sterile technique and equipment readiness
• Continuously assess and monitor patients using telemetry and advanced cardiac monitoring
• Document care accurately and efficiently in Epic to support continuity and quality
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care
• Provide patient and family education about procedures, post-procedure care, and follow-up
• Maintain specialty competencies through required testing and on-the-job learning

Qualifications

• Active RN license (license verification required)
• Electrophysiology/EP lab experience required
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• CPI (de-escalation) certification required
• Proficiency with Epic EHR
• Willingness to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and drug/health screenings

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid working knowledge of electrophysiology procedures and terminology
• Strong cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation skills
• Comfort with sterile technique and procedural room workflows
• Proficient Epic documentation and electronic charting skills
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and rapid assessment abilities
• Ability to follow protocols for patient safety, infection control, and emergency response
