Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered critical care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
• Monitor hemodynamics and promptly communicate significant changes to the care team
• Deliver direct ICU care within scope and manage complex patient needs
• Perform and interpret rhythm strips and collaborate on advanced cardiac care
• Educate patients and families on condition, treatments, and discharge planning
• Lead and mentor nursing staff and coordinate care activities on your shift
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and treatment response
• Maintain patient privacy, documentation accuracy, and compliance with facility policies

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license (must be active and in good standing)
• BLS and ACLS required
• NIHSS and DCI/BVP certifications required
• Minimum 1 year as a staff RN in an acute care hospital or critical care/ICU setting
• CCRN certification preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Must be available to work weekends
• Completion of required pre-employment checks and immunizations (see checklist: TB, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine/boosters preferred)
• Nursys license verification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing fundamentals and advanced patient assessment
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation of diagnostic data
• Strong clinical judgment and rapid response to acute changes
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR documentation and workflows
• Medication administration, basic pharmacology knowledge, and rhythm interpretation
• Patient and family education with clear communication skills
• Ability to lead and coordinate care among multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to patient privacy, safety, and evidence-based practice
