Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients using the nursing process and create clear, individualized care plans
• Provide direct telemetry nursing care, including cardiac monitoring and interpretation
• Implement interventions and evaluate patient responses to ensure safe outcomes
• Communicate promptly with physicians about clinical changes and diagnostic results
• Guide and educate patients and families to support recovery and self-care
• Coordinate and supervise activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and treatment needs

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Nursys registration required
• DCI/BVP certification listed as required in job paperwork
• Ventilator management experience preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination/boosters preferred
• Must be available to work weekends

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry nursing and cardiac monitoring expertise
• Rhythm interpretation and basic pharmacology knowledge
• Patient and family teaching with strong communication skills
• Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care
• Experience responding to clinical changes and escalating appropriately
• Familiarity with ventilator management (preferred)
• Comfort with competency testing such as specialty and core exams
