Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile instrumentation and supplies for spine and joint procedures
• Scrub and assist surgeons during spine fusions, ALIFs, total joint replacements and other orthopedic cases
• Anticipate surgeon needs and provide instruments and supplies promptly to support efficient, safe surgeries
• Maintain strict sterile technique and ensure surgical counts are accurate
• Document intraoperative events and equipment usage in the EMR (Meditech)
• Collaborate with perioperative team members and respond to call assignments professionally and reliably
• Support unit flow across multiple ORs and help orient temporary team members when needed

Qualifications

• CST certification (Certified Surgical Technologist) required
• Minimum 2 years OR experience (experience field lists 2 years)
• Demonstrated spine scrub experience (must-have)
• Demonstrated joint scrub experience (must-have)
• Experience in Orthopedic OR settings and total joint procedures preferred
• Meditech EMR experience is a plus
• Willingness to participate in call schedule

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of orthopedic instrumentation and total joint replacement workflows
• Comfortable with spine cases including fusions and ALIFs
• Proficiency in sterile technique, surgical counts, and instrument handling
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR documentation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced OR covering multiple rooms
