Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based ICU nursing care to critically ill patients
• Assess and monitor patient status, recognizing and escalating changes quickly
• Administer medications and complex therapies safely and accurately
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and execute care plans
• Document patient care clearly and timely to ensure continuity and safety
• Respond to emergencies and assist with critical procedures as needed

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current active RN licensure (California licensing expected/required)
• Experience or comfort working in an ICU/critical care environment
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred or required per facility policy
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently on per-diem shifts and integrate into existing teams

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and bedside decision-making
• Familiarity with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• IV therapy, infusion pump management, and medication safety
• Accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Effective teamwork and communication with physicians, therapists, and families
• Prior experience with ICU workflows and protocols
