Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care and assist residents with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe mobility and fall prevention measures for patients
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the resident record
• Assist with admissions, transfers and routine patient care tasks
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Comfort working in long-term care or skilled nursing settings
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care and activities of daily living
• Skill measuring and documenting vital signs accurately
• Ability to safely assist with transfers and mobility
• Familiarity with infection control and standard precautions
• Good teamwork, time management, and observational skills
• Comfortable using electronic charting/EMR systems for documentation
