Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care before, during, and after electrophysiology procedures
• Assist physicians and the EP team with device implants, ablations, and diagnostic studies
• Perform focused patient assessments, monitor vitals and cardiac rhythms closely
• Prepare and maintain the EP lab environment, ensuring sterile technique and equipment readiness
• Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery expectations, and follow-up care
• Document care accurately and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to optimize outcomes
• Respond promptly to changes in patient status and escalate concerns to the clinical team

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (or compact/eligible where applicable)
• Experience working in an EP Lab, electrophysiology, or cardiac procedural area preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or obtainable
• Strong ECG/arrhythmia recognition and telemetry monitoring skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work calmly in fast-paced procedural settings

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with EP lab equipment, mapping systems, and cardiac device terminology
• Proficient in sterile technique, surgical prep, and peri-procedural patient care
• Solid understanding of cardiac rhythms, arrhythmia management, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Comfortable with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation and order workflows
• Team-focused mindset with strong critical thinking and situational awareness
