Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality critical care to ICU patients, managing complex and rapidly changing conditions
• Operate and monitor advanced ICU equipment including ventilators and hemodynamic monitors
• Perform and manage central line and arterial line care and assist with intubations when needed
• Care for patients with EVDs alongside core staff and follow unit-specific protocols
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining a 2:1 patient ratio typical for the unit

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (eligible to practice in Texas)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU/critical care nursing experience (explicit requirement)
• Current ACLS certification (required)
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Comfort working nights and a rotating weekend schedule
• Strong teamwork, accountability, and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care and ICU nursing fundamentals
• ACLS protocols and emergency response
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical record system
• Central line and arterial line management
• Ventilator management and basic intubation support
• Neuro and oncology critical care exposure is a plus
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced, team-oriented ICU environment
