Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care and treatments for neonatal and pediatric patients
• Manage and optimize mechanical ventilation and advanced ventilator strategies
• Deliver and troubleshoot therapies such as BIPAP, high-flow oxygen, continuous nebulizers and CPT
• Operate specialty equipment including 3100A (Bunnell oscillator) and servo ventilators
• Administer and monitor therapies like Nitric Oxide and Heliox when indicated
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in Meditech
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans
• Serve as a patient advocate, prioritizing safety, family communication, and clinical outcomes

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• BLS, NRP, PALS — required
• 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience — required
• Current NICU/PICU experience — advanced skill expected
• Meditech experience preferred
• Comfortable with neonatal/pediatric respiratory protocols and advanced airway management

Knowledge & Skills

• Mechanical ventilation (neonatal/pediatric focus)
• Neonatal/Pediatric respiratory care
• BIPAP and high flow device management
• CPT and nebulizer therapy (continuous and regular)
• Operation of 3100A (Bunnell oscillator) and servo ventilators
• Nitric Oxide and Heliox therapy knowledge
• Meditech documentation proficiency
• Strong teamwork, critical thinking, and adaptability in fast-paced settings
