Roles & Responsibilities

• Verify and dispense medications accurately, ensuring patient safety and compliance
• Provide vancomycin, aminoglycoside and anticoagulant dosing and monitoring according to protocols
• Conduct pain consults and collaborate with clinical teams to optimize analgesia plans
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, oversee sterile IV compounding and use DoseEdge for verification
• Maintain and check Pyxis and emergency med boxes, and handle first-dose verifications
• Document medication interventions and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
• Use Meditech EMR to review orders, clinical data and perform medication reconciliation

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited pharmacy school (PharmD or equivalent) — required
• Licensed to practice pharmacy in Missouri (MO pharmacist license) — required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant inpatient pharmacy experience (as stated in posting)
• ACLS and BLS preferred
• NICU experience is a plus and will be considered strongly

Education

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School (PharmD preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy workflows and medication verification
• Experience with vancomycin, aminoglycoside and anticoagulant dosing and monitoring
• Skilled in supervising technicians and overseeing sterile IV compounding processes
• Familiarity with DoseEdge, Pak Edge, Pyxis and Meditech EMR
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
