Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care under the clinical supervision of a Physical Therapist using therapeutic procedures, modalities, and assistive devices
Deliver targeted interventions to restore muscle strength, range of motion, coordination, mobility, and body alignment
Assist patients to reduce pain and improve functional movement and independence
Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist and document patient progress accurately
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team to support continuity of care and positive outcomes
Adhere to the California State Practice Act and facility policies to ensure safe, ethical practice

Qualifications

Graduated from an approved Physical Therapy Assistant Program
Valid California Physical Therapist Assistant license (LPTA) required
Ability to work full-time day shifts as specified (Days, Full Time)
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Education

Graduated from an approved Physical Therapy Assistant Program

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in therapeutic procedures and clinical modalities
Experience with assistive devices and techniques to improve mobility and function
Knowledge of methods to restore muscle strength, range of motion, and coordination
Competent documentation and ability to follow treatment plans under PT supervision
Ability to safely assist patients and promote pain relief and functional improvement
