Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity obstetric care to laboring patients, ensuring safety and excellent patient experience
• Circulate and assist during C-sections and other operative deliveries with calm, confident teamwork
• Administer and monitor IV therapies (including magnesium drips) and respond to changes in maternal condition
• Use electronic documentation (Meditech, CPN) to accurately record patient care and communicate with the care team
• Perform fetal monitoring and partner with providers to interpret findings and escalate concerns when needed
• Support antepartum, triage and PACU areas as needed — bring flexibility and clinical judgment
• Participate in unit-based teamwork, including floating within the women's and children's service line

Qualifications

• Current RN license (active and in good standing)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications (required)
• AWOHHN Fetal Heart Rate Intermediate — a strong plus but not required
• Experience with C-section circulating/scrub roles, epidurals and spinals preferred
• Comfort with Meditech documentation and high-acuity obstetric scenarios

Knowledge & Skills

• Labor & Delivery nursing and high-acuity obstetric care
• C-section assistance and OR circulating/scrub workflows
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring fundamentals and fetal heart rate assessment
• IV therapy management, including magnesium infusions
• Meditech electronic documentation experience
• Ability to float within the women's & children's service line and adapt quickly
