Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients in a 20-bed NTICU
• Perform and assist with advanced ICU procedures such as central line and arterial line care, chest tube management, wound vac management, and percutaneous tracheostomy support
• Manage and operate specialized equipment including CRRT, EVD and Camino ICP monitoring
• Document patient assessment, interventions and outcomes accurately in Cerner
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Maintain situational awareness and act decisively during trauma and surgical ICU emergencies
• Support unit staffing needs and float between related critical care areas when required

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 2+ years of recent ICU experience — trauma and/or surgical ICU background required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Comfortable with CRRT, EVD, Camino ICP and managing arterial/CVC lines and chest tubes
• TNCC or ATCN preferred (nice-to-have)
• Team-oriented attitude and ability to work rotating nights and every other weekend

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care assessment and monitoring skills
• Familiarity with CRRT, EVD and intracranial pressure monitoring (Camino ICP)
• Proficiency in central line, arterial line and chest tube care
• Experience with wound vac management and percutaneous tracheostomy care
• Cerner EMR documentation skills
• Ability to manage patient ratios commonly 1:2 (or 1:3 during staffing challenges)
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a high-acuity environment
