Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise nursing activities across the facility to ensure top-quality care
• Provide compassionate direct patient care during the night shift, including assessments and medication administration
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to implement and update individualized care plans
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the medical record and maintain regulatory compliance
• Mentor and support nursing staff and nursing assistants, promoting best practices and a positive work environment
• Respond to and manage clinical emergencies and changes in patient status with calm, effective action

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license — Colorado license or active compact state license preferred
• Previous experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or skilled nursing settings
• Demonstrated supervisory experience or comfort in a leadership role
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred if available
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of relevant continuing education and current BLS certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment and care planning for geriatric populations
• Proficient with medication administration and clinical protocols in LTC
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting practices
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution abilities
• Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations and quality standards
• Ability to prioritize tasks and make sound clinical judgments during night shifts
