Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage emergency patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care
• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for a wide variety of acute presentations
• Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient responses
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers and the ED team to coordinate patient care
• Document patient assessments, interventions and outcomes clearly and promptly
• Respond to clinical emergencies and support resuscitation and stabilization efforts
• Support throughput by facilitating admissions, discharges and safe transfers

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (must be eligible to practice in Nebraska)
• Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience required
• ENPC certification preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, days, weekends and holidays as needed
• Must be ready for a quick start and to fill open shifts promptly

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

• Strong emergency assessment and triage skills
• Comfort with fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Excellent clinical judgment and ability to prioritize under pressure
• Clear communication and teamwork within interdisciplinary teams
• Adaptability to changing schedules and patient needs
