Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor patients continuously on telemetry and respond promptly to changes
• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care during overnight hours
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Perform timely assessments, document findings, and escalate concerns
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to protocols
• Educate patients and families about condition, monitoring, and discharge plans

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in California or eligible to obtain one
• Telemetry nursing experience (prior telemetry shifts or unit experience preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS encouraged or preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and communication skills
• Ability to work overnight shifts and manage a telemetry patient assignment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in cardiac telemetry monitoring and arrhythmia recognition
• Skilled in patient assessment, vital sign interpretation, and documentation
• Comfortable using electronic health record systems and point-of-care tech
• Effective team collaborator with clear communication under pressure
• Knowledge of medication administration, IV therapy, and safety protocols
