Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in the ER to prioritize care
• Provide compassionate hands-on nursing care, from initial assessment through disposition
• Administer medications, treatments and IV therapy safely and following protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, techs and support staff to coordinate efficient patient flow
• Document patient status, interventions and changes clearly and promptly
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and follow-up plans

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California
• Experience in Emergency Room nursing preferred; comfort with fast-paced environments
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS preferred or obtainable
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and adapt to variable patient volumes
• Professional, patient-centered attitude with excellent communication skills

Education

• Active RN license required; ADN or BSN accepted (BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency triage and rapid assessment
• IV starts, medication administration and acute care interventions
• Familiarity with ER workflows, documentation and electronic medical records
• Ability to prioritize multiple high-acuity patients safely
• Teamwork and clear communication under pressure
• Basic understanding of common ER diagnostics and treatments (EKG, X-ray, labs)
