Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care such as bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
Observe and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
Assist with resident feeding and nutrition needs, following care plans
Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics
Document care accurately and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members
Deliver warm, respectful interactions that enhance patient comfort and dignity

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) required
Valid state CNA license or ability to obtain prior to assignment
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Previous patient care experience is a plus; compassion and reliability are essential
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong basic nursing care skills and familiarity with ADLs (activities of daily living)
Clear verbal and written communication to coordinate with clinical staff
Good observational skills to notice and report changes in patient status
Dependability, time management, and the ability to follow care plans
Team-oriented mindset with a focus on patient safety and dignity
