Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in the fast-paced ER
• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for emergent conditions
• Administer medications, start IVs, and manage treatments safely
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Document patient status and interventions clearly in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Emergency department experience or strong interest in ER nursing
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and teamwork mindset
• Ability to work per diem shifts and adapt quickly to a busy environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and rapid patient assessment in emergency settings
• Proficiency with medication administration, IV therapy, and basic procedures
• Critical thinking and prioritization under pressure
• Clear documentation practices and basic computer/EMR navigation
• Compassionate patient- and family-centered care
