Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (nights), rotating schedule with every-other-weekend and alternating holidays; team/block scheduling available; may float to ER/MedSurg as needed

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care across ER, MedSurg and swing-bed units
• Triage and deliver initial emergency and trauma care in the ER when needed
• Administer IV medications, blood products and titratable drips safely and accurately
• Read and interpret telemetry strips and act promptly on abnormal findings
• Collaborate with CNAs, RTs and the charge nurse within a team nursing model
• Document thoroughly and efficiently in EPIC to ensure continuity of care
• Support geriatric care needs including dementia, wound care and restorative rehab
• Participate in unit orientation and ongoing competency maintenance

Qualifications

• Current RN license valid for practice in North Dakota (compact license accepted if applicable)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (current)
• Minimum ~2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred (ER/MedSurg experience helpful)
• Comfort and demonstrated experience titrating drips and administering blood products
• Proficiency with EPIC or similar electronic medical records
• Able to work nights and rotate weekends/holidays as required; team-oriented attitude

Education

• Nursing degree (ADN or diploma acceptable); BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• EPIC charting and documentation
• IV medication administration and IV antibiotic management
• Blood transfusion procedures and safety checks
• Titration of drips (electrolytes, hypertensives, set-rate drips)
• Telemetry strip interpretation and cardiac monitoring
• Geriatric care, dementia awareness, and stroke care basics
• Wound care principles and restorative/rehab-focused nursing
• CPAP troubleshooting and collaboration with respiratory therapy
