Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor patients on telemetry continuously and interpret cardiac rhythms promptly
• Recognize and respond to arrhythmias and escalating cardiac events with clinical confidence
• Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy safely and accurately
• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care following ACLS, BLS and PALS protocols
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses clearly in the medical record
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain competency through required exams and checklists (Prime Core Competencies, Skills Checklist, Specialty Exam)

Qualifications

• Active RN license with Nursys verification
• Minimum of 1 year of telemetry nursing experience
• Basic Arrhythmia Certification (required)
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications
• DCI/BVP certification as listed
• Demonstrated IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
• Completion of required facility health screenings and immunizations (COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, TB testing, fit test, drug screen, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, etc.)
• Successful completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist and Prime Specialty Exam as required

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and arrhythmia recognition
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation and immediate intervention protocols
• IV therapy and phlebotomy techniques
• Familiarity with ACLS, BLS and PALS algorithms
• Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients and care teams
• Accurate documentation and electronic health record use
• Adherence to infection control and workplace health screening requirements
