Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to MedSurg, telemetry, and PCU cardiac patients on night shift
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms and respond to changes using ACLS protocols
• Support cardiac catheterization patients and collaborate with the cardiac care team throughout recovery
• Document patient care, assessments and interventions in EPIC accurately and promptly
• Float across MedSurg, Telemetry and PCU units as needed, maintaining unit standards and continuity of care
• Communicate clearly with interdisciplinary team members, patients and families to optimize outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Rhode Island is a compact state; multi-state licensure accepted where applicable)
• Minimum 2+ years recent MedSurg/Telemetry RN experience with at least 2+ years cardiac experience (PCU/Cardiac Cath exposure expected)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications — must show prior use in clinical settings (no provisional compliance-only credentials)
• EPIC experience required for documentation and charting
• DCI/BVP certification listed as requested
• Nursys report (within 30 days), cover sheet, resume, skills checklist, 2 references and license/certification verification required for submission

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
• Familiarity with post-cardiac cath patient care and PCU protocols
• Proficient EPIC documentation and electronic charting
• ACLS/BLS competency for emergency cardiac events
• Ability to float across units and adapt to varied team workflows
• Comfort working night shift rhythms and collaborating on weekends
