Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage ventilator settings and provide expert ventilator care for critically ill patients
• Perform ABG collection and analysis to guide respiratory interventions
• Administer nebulizer treatments and other inhaled therapies safely and effectively
• Assist with intubations, codes and rapid responses as part of the critical care team
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor respiratory status closely
• Document respiratory care accurately in the EMR and communicate findings to the team
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and other therapists to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies and equipment use

Qualifications

• Active RRT credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
• Minimum 1 year respiratory therapy experience (as stated in the posting)
• Demonstrated critical care and ventilator management skills
• Experience with Servo and 840 ventilators
• Familiarity with EMR systems; Meditech experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management and troubleshooting
• ABG analysis and interpretation
• Nebulizer and airway treatments
• Assistance with intubation and code response
• Critical care monitoring and patient assessment
• Hands-on experience with Servo and 840 ventilators
• EMR documentation (Meditech familiarity helpful)
