Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize ventilator settings and weaning protocols for critically ill patients
• Perform ABG sampling and interpret results to guide therapy
• Administer nebulizer treatments and other respiratory therapies accurately and safely
• Assist with intubation and respond actively during codes and rapid responses
• Conduct thorough respiratory assessments and collaborate with the care team on treatment plans
• Document care precisely in the unit EMR and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Contribute as a team player on a busy unit of experienced therapists, helping maintain high standards of care

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Minimum 1 year of clinical respiratory therapy experience (critical care experience preferred)
• Demonstrated ventilator management and critical care assessment skills
• Ability to assist with intubations and participate in codes/rapid responses
• Comfortable working on a busy night shift team and collaborating with nursing and providers
• Meditech experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management (Servo and 840 familiarity a plus)
• ABG sampling and interpretation
• Nebulizer treatments and general respiratory therapies
• Intubation assistance and code response
• Strong assessment skills and critical care judgment
• Teamwork and clear communication in high-acuity settings
