Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Triage and assess patients quickly and compassionately in an urgent care setting
Provide evidence-based treatments and administer medications per protocol
Perform wound care, splinting, IV starts and other urgent procedures as needed
Document assessments, interventions and follow-up in the electronic health record accurately
Collaborate with providers, techs and support staff to deliver coordinated care
Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment plans and follow-up care
Respond to emergencies, escalate appropriately and assist with stabilization

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California required
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred when available
Prior urgent care, emergency, or fast-paced ambulatory experience preferred
Strong clinical assessment, IV and wound care skills
Excellent communication, teamwork and critical thinking abilities

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Urgent care triage and assessment skills
Proficiency with common procedures: wound care, splinting, IV starts
Accurate EHR documentation and charting
Patient education and discharge instruction skills
Infection control, safety protocols and emergency response familiarity
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
