Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
- Take and document vital signs, reporting changes promptly to nursing staff
- Assist with activities of daily living to promote patient dignity and comfort
- Support safe transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics
- Maintain clear, respectful communication with patients, families, and the care team
- Follow infection control procedures and maintain a clean, safe environment
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Valid state registry status or eligibility to register in California
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening per facility policy
- Reliable, patient-focused attitude and strong communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable with patient handling, transfers, and personal care tasks
- Able to accurately take and record vital signs and observations
- Basic charting and documentation skills, attentive to detail
- Knowledge of infection prevention and safety procedures
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong teamwork skills
